“Missions is our middle name!”  Since the inception of the Christian and Missionary Alliance church, we have strived to be a movement with the goal of doing our part in reaching all peoples of the world with the gospel message.

That movement has over 700 missionaries world-wide today.  We fully support our missionaries with both funding and prayer support.  Our missionaries play vital roles in over 60 nations around the world.  Some are on the “front line” living in villages and communities where they work with indigenous Christian leaders to share the message of Jesus.  Others teach in our Bible schools or work in counseling centers.  We also have nurses and doctors and other professionals using their skills in sharing the gospel message through word and deed as they serve others in love.

Our goal is to send all members on a short-term mission trip in the next five years.  We believe that we can impact the world for Christ as we go into all the world to make disciples.  We also know for a fact that when we go on a missions trip, we will be forever changed for the better!  Our desire is to cultivate a heart for the lost — both around the world and across the street.

Our local outreach ministry works primarily through our small group ministries, our youth ministries and through our congregation as we encourage everyone to be a part of a community ministry to the needy right here in the Grand Valley.  Our outreach ministries vary in scope and involvement.

We are home church to Ray and Candace Ward who serve the Burmese refugees in camps in Northern Thailand.  They are actively building children’s homes and coming along side Thai pastors and helping them reach the villages of Northern Thailand for Christ.

We also heavily support Children With Hope.   This Grand Junction ministry is building children homes in Eldoret Kenya.  We send work teams and financially support this key ministry.  Most of their children are infants and are victims of AIDS or war.

In Acts 1:8 Jesus tells His disciples, “you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."  We take this statement of our Lord as both a command and as a promise.  We can be kingdom workers and reach our community for Christ as we rely on the Holy Spirit!
